Around Iceland from Flatey to Westfjords

Wanting to beguile our journey, we decided to take a ferry to Flatey , and then from Flatey to Westfjords afterwards ;). I must say we had been stressing for a while since our car was going with another ferry. We had almost 6 hours layover in Flatey. It's a private, immensely small island, but very charming though with only one shop, where you cant really buy proper food but rather some souvenirs. The weather made us a favour. It was sunny and quite warm so most of the time we were just basking in the sun, when not being chased by Krias. Whilst we were going up the hill and looking for puffins, which were floating in the water, we overlooked Krias' area, what caused their sudden attack on us. I panicked so much that I was trying to hide behind my friend and using her sort of as a shield. Sorry Kete lmao ! Flatey is quite famous from a movie that was screened there and  is called Brúðguminn. We arrived to Westfords late in the evening and camped in the town called Flokalundur. There was a really nice hot spring a short walk from the campsite. We met there a Dutch lawyer , who had been walking several days(yes only walking ) in Westfjords with his backpack on. Hats off. Everything seemed to be going smoothly and nicely, but unfortunately it was too good to be true. Our car broke down , and although we called the car company to tell them about the fault, due to them convincing us it was normal we carried on and I guess we just made it worse. As a consequence we were stuck in the middle of nowhere, totally hopeless, certain that our trip was going to finish. Luckily the car company sent the missing part of the car by a plane to Bildudalur and a great man Palli from the car's garage in Patreksfjordur fixed it up. The same day we went to Bildudalur to see puffins, it was awesome. We were so close to them. They are beautiful, unfairly called the clowns, but very gullible therefore you can eat them in some Icelandic restaurants for dinner......Yes Icelanders do hunt them and then consume after. Before heading to Isafjordur we stayed one night at the free campsite next to Dynjandi waterfall. Although a bit nosiy the campsite was, we were amayzed about it. It was exquisitely beautiful.....
