Me and four other people set off early in the morning from Reykjavik in order to travel around Iceland - country that has been a place of our residence for almost a year now. Two Poles, one Dane, one German and one Austrian. 4 girls, one guy. At first we drove around Snaefellsnes peninsula to marvel at its beautiful beaches, crystalline water and the picturesque glacier in the background that looks as if it was painted. As soon as you get out of Reykjavik you notice Kria birds. Those white creatures remind you of Alfred Hitchock's movie. Everytime you trespass the area of their nests you will be attacked. My friend tried to provoke them on purpose which ended badly. As a consequence they simply shat on her arm (LMAO). We camped in Olafsvik, a tiny city ,about 45 minutes from Stykkisholmur, wherefrom we took a ferry to Flatey the following day.
